The state park's 129 acres (52 ha) feature 3,900 feet (1,200 m) of shoreline, the waterfall for which the park is named, and some of the last standing old-growth trees in the Chehalis Valley. With a long pier and sandy shore, Dash Point Park is one of the nicest and most accessible paddling locations in Tacoma. Please do not block residential driveways or park illegally. My best sleep was that night after Ranger Hoag made his rounds. He was also matching plates with permits bought, removing people who haven’t paid or giving them the option of paying at kiosk. I got to talk with him about the garbage dumped he responded that they were trying to investigate it by going through trash.
